Could this be true?  Well if you believe Novak, that is what his sources are saying:

“A footnote: Karl Rove and other prominent Republicans are talking up a McCain-Romney harmony ticket despite personal dislike between the two presidential candidates. Romney also would have to overcome opposition to him going on the ticket by his closest advisers.”

A McCain-Romney, while it sounds great and all, might not be the best political move for Romney.  Laura Ebke from RedStateEclectic said that being in a subordinate position as VP, especially since he has never been in such a role in his career, would not give Romney the limelight that he deserves.  She also points out with the Obama Juggernaut lingering in the future, the likelihood McCain will win in slim unless something happen in the next 250 days.  She continues to say that Romney should get out there, campaign for other candidates, and like in 1976 with Reagan, become the clear nominee in 2012.

Even though I kinda agree with her position, McCain needs to pick a conservative VP that the movement can rally around.  It doesn’t have to be Romney, but he does fit the mold.  In regards to will it score him political points, I tend to agree with his advisers that oppose the thought of him being VP.  It doesn’t really give Romney an advantage for 2012, and can really only hurt him.

Yes, if McCain does become president, being the VP is a good position to run for president from.  But Romney shouldn’t be the McCain “yes” man as VP.  He need to focus on his personal brand as a conservative leader who will not sellout conservative principles for political gain.  That is why I believe the VP spot might not be the best idea for him.  Honestly, does he want to affiliated with a McCain administration?

The conservative movement has gone through a lot in the last few months. With the suspension of the Romney campaign and the death of William F. Buckley Jr., the conservative movement has had its set backs.

Even the media is once again trying to write the death of the Conservative movement. But as we know, that is not true. Romney once said at CPAC 2007:

“Of course, they wrote our obituary last fall. They’ve written that before, as you know. They wrote it after Watergate, after the ’82 elections, after Iran-Contra, and after Bill Clinton’s election.

The truth is that their wishful-thinking reports of our demise have been greatly exaggerated. In fact, I predict, that we’ll be around a lot longer than, say, the newspapers will be around.”

Romney understands that conservatism is not a fad, that we must not give up our principles even when many pundits called for running a moderate in 2008. Well now since we have selected a moderate nominee, we need a conservative voice to become the leader of the conservative movement. I think Mitt Romney is the best person to fill this role. Romney needs to be front and center fighting for us conservatives. Fighting for the principles we believe in even if they go against the party leadership. Romney is an inspirational leader, like Goldwater and Reagan, that can take the reigns and unify our party once again behind that conservative principles that have carried us to victory in the past. With Romney at the forefront, those principles will carry us into the future.

Obama is no conservative.  Conservativism by nature promotes  the power of the individual.  Liberalism is the exact opposite.  That is Obama.  Yes we can should be the motto of the conservative movement.  We can make the changes we need, we give the power back to the people, we keep government in control.  YES WE CAN IN 2012 – Join the Romney Revolution!

Even though this is unfortunate news, this won’t be the last time we hear from Josh. He might run in 2 years. Lets hope he does because he is exactly what America needs.
